Former U.S President Donald J. Trump Makes His Boxing Analyst/Commentator Debut This Saturday

Just when you thought you’ve seen it all in the past few months, with Mike Tyson returning to the ring and Jake Paul coming out of the woodwork alongside his brother Logan to have the entire combat sports world eating out of their hands, surreal times indeed. However, the scale might have risen a notch; Donald Trump Just entered the room.

Yes, you read it correctly; the former president of The United States, Donald Trump, will be making his official boxing commentator/analyst debut this Saturday on Triller Fight Club’s Holyfield vs Belfort card.

This might sound like a surprise to most, but if you’re familiar with the MMA scene in the early 2000s, you might know that Trump owned a significant equity stake in Affliction.

Affliction was a Mixed Martial Arts promotion company that was created by Affliction clothing in 2008. So Donald Trump always showed interest in dipping his toes in the combat world.

UFC president Dana White said plenty of times that Trump calls him out of nowhere sometimes not to talk about politics, business or even about himself, but he calls Dana for over an hour with his fan hat on to discuss upcoming UFC fights.

That shows that Donald Trump’s insight on combat sports might very well be more profound than most think. Moreover, the event Trump will be commentating on is headlined by boxing royalty Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield’s age is closer to Trump’s compared to the new generation, with Trump watching Evander’s fights live years back when Holyfield was in his prime. So surprisingly, Donald Trump might actually be the perfect addition to the commentators’ booth.

And I feel like Trump might have a story or two to tell involving Holyfield and himself back in the late 90s when their lives were a bit wild, to say the least.

Sooner or later, you got to give Triller credit for what they’re doing. Yes, this Saturday’s fight isn’t between two hungry lions in their prime, but if that’s what you desire, Triller is also hosting the lightweight unification bout between Teofimo Lopez and George Kambosos Jr on October 4th.

Pure entertainment is Triller’s lone product, and even if you’re not into the musical performances and other shenanigans, you have the lightweight unification bout to look forward to.

All is well and good, but for now, a little throwback fight between two legends hosted by Donald Trump won’t hurt anybody.

“What’s the point of having great knowledge and keeping them all to yourself.” -Donald Trump

Trump looks to put his combat sports knowledge on full display as he takes center stage this Saturday on Triller Fight Club’s Belfort vs Holyfield card.
