Alexander Gustafsson Is Back For The Wrong Reasons

What can you say about the legendary Swedish pioneer Alexander Gustafsson; he might very well be the best fighter never to wear the UFC championship. That being said, Alex is making his comeback, and it’s just all wrong.

We saw last week when former UFC Bantamweight champion Miesha Tate made her return to the octagon while debuting in a new division. Tate fought a much lesser operator and someone she said she could never lose to due to the skill difference. However, Tate was battered and dominated against the underdog Murphy.

When I look at this comeback, I see the same scenario occurring. Gustafsson hasn’t won a fight in five years, hasn’t fought in over two years, and quite honestly, he seems to be returning simply for a paycheck, and that’s a recipe for disaster.
